But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John,

Then solemnly bearing witness to and speaking the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.

but on the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted [with] the gospel for the uncircumcised, just as Peter [with the gospel] for the circumcised,

and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace which was given to me, they gave me and Barnabas [their] right [hands] of fellowship, that we [should go] to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised;

But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how many wicked things he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem;

And giving to her his hand, he raised her up; and when he called the saints and the widows, he presented her living.

which also I did in Jerusalem, and many of the saints I shut up in prisons, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were being put to death, I cast my vote against them.

On behalf of the saints that are in His land, He has magnified all His pleasure in them.

that He may guard the righteous ways: and He will preserve the way of them that fear Him.

and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had passed away were raised;

To all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called [to be] saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
