13
Where am I to get the meat to give to all these people? For they weep to me, saying, Give us meat, that we may eat.

19
You shall not eat one day, nor two, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days;

13
And Moses said to the Lord, So Egypt shall hear, for You have brought up this people from them by Your might.

And [if] You shall destroy this nation as one man; then all the nations that have heard Your name shall speak, saying,
16
Because the Lord could not bring this people into the land which He swore to them, He has overthrown them in the wilderness.
17
And now, O Lord, let Your strength be exalted, as You spoke, saying,
18
The Lord [is] longsuffering and merciful, and true, removing transgressions and iniquities and sins, and He shall by no means clear the guilty, visiting the sins of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation.
19
Forgive this people their sin according to Your great mercy, as You were favorable to them from Egypt until now.
20
And the Lord said to Moses, I am gracious to them according to your word.
21
But [as] I live, and as My name lives, so the glory of the Lord shall fill all the earth.

They rose up against Moses and Aaron, and said, Let it be enough for you that all the congregation [is] holy, and the Lord [is] among them; and why do you set up yourselves against the congregation of the Lord?
4
And when Moses heard it, he fell on his face.
5
And he spoke to Korah and all his assembly, saying, God has visited and known those that are His and who are holy, and has brought them to Himself; and whom He has chosen for Himself, He has brought to Himself.
6
Therefore do this: take to yourselves censers, Korah and all his company;

10
And He has brought you near and all your brothers the sons of Levi with you, and do you seek to be priests also?

And take each man his censer, and you shall put incense upon them, and shall bring each one his censer before the Lord, two hundred and fifty censers, and you and Aaron shall bring each his censer.
Numbers 20:1-21
1
And the children of Israel, [even] the whole congregation, came into the Wilderness of Zin, in the first month, and the people stayed in Kadesh. And Miriam died there, and was buried there.
2
And there was no water for the congregation. And they gathered themselves together against Moses and Aaron.
3
And the people reviled Moses, saying, If only we had died in the destruction of our brethren before the Lord!
4
And why have you brought up the congregation of the Lord into this wilderness, to kill us and our cattle?
5
And why [is] this? You have brought us up out of Egypt, that we should come into this evil place; a place where there is no sowing, neither figs, nor vines, nor pomegranates, neither is there water to drink.
6
And Moses and Aaron went from before the assembly to the door of the tabernacle of witness, and they fell upon their faces; and the glory of the Lord appeared to them.
7
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
8
Take your rod, and call the assembly, you and Aaron your brother, and speak to the rock before them, and it shall give forth its waters; and you shall bring forth for them water out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their cattle.
9
And Moses took his rod which was before the Lord, as the Lord commanded.
10
And Moses and Aaron assembled the congregation before the rock, and said to them, Hear me, you disobedient; must we bring you water out of this rock?
11
And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his rod twice; and much water came forth, and the congregation drank, and their cattle.
12
And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, Because you have not believed Me to sanctify Me before the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
13
This is the water of Strife, because the children of Israel spoke insolently before the Lord, and He was sanctified in them.
14
And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom, saying, Thus says your brother Israel; You know all the distress that has come upon us.
15
And [how] our fathers went down into Egypt, and we sojourned in Egypt many days, and the Egyptians afflicted us and our fathers.
16
And we cried to the Lord, and the Lord heard our voice, and sent an angel and brought us out of Egypt; and now we are in the city of Kadesh, at the extremity of your coasts.
17
We will pass through your land. We will not go through the fields, nor through the vineyards, nor will we drink water out of your cistern; we will go by the king's highway; we will not turn aside to the right hand or to the left, until we have passed your borders.
18
And Edom said to him, You shall not pass through me, and if otherwise, I will go forth to meet you in war.
19
And the children of Israel said to him, We will pass by the mountain; and if I and my cattle drink of your water, I will pay you: but it is no matter of importance, we will go by the mountain.
20
And he said, You shall not pass through me; and Edom went forth to meet him with a great army, and a mighty hand.
21
So Edom refused to allow Israel to pass through his borders, and Israel turned away from him.
Deuteronomy 2:25-37
25
Begin to put your terror and your fear on the face of all the nations under heaven, who shall be troubled when they have heard your name, and shall be in anguish before you.
26
And I sent ambassadors from the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon king of Heshbon with peaceable words, saying,
27
I will pass through your land; I will go by the road, I will not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
28
You shall give me food for money, and I will eat; and you shall give me water for money, and I will drink; I will only go through on my feet:
29
as the sons of Esau did to me, who dwelt in Seir, and the Moabites who dwelt in Ar, until I have passed the Jordan, into the land which the Lord our God gives us.
30
And Sihon king of Heshbon would not allow us to pass by him, because the Lord our God hardened his spirit, and made his heart stubborn, that he might be delivered into your hands, as it is this day.
31
And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have begun to deliver before you Sihon the king of Heshbon the Amorite, and his land: begin to inherit his land.
32
And Sihon the king of Heshbon came forth to meet us, he and all his people to war at Jahaz.
33
And the Lord our God delivered him before our face, and we struck him, and his sons, and all his people.
34
And we took possession of all his cities at that time, and we utterly destroyed every city in succession, and their wives, and their children; we left no living prey.
35
Only we took the livestock captive, and took the spoil of the cities.
36
From Ar, which is by the brink of the brook of Arnon, and the city which is in the valley, and as far as the mount of Gilead; there was not a city which escaped us: the Lord our God delivered all of them into our hands.
37
Only we did not draw near to the children of Ammon, even all the parts bordering on the brook Jabbok, and the cities in the mountain country, as the Lord our God commanded us.
Deuteronomy 8:4
Your garments grew not old from off you, your shoes were not worn from off you, your feet were not [painfully] hardened, behold, for these forty years!
Nehemiah 9:12-15
12
And You guided them by day by a pillar of cloud, and by night by a pillar of fire, to enlighten for them the way in which they should walk.
13
Also You came down upon Mount Sinai, and You spoke to them out of heaven, and gave them right judgments, and laws of truth, ordinances, and good commandments.
14
And You made known to them Your holy Sabbath; You enjoined upon them commandments, and ordinances, and a law, by the hand of Your servant Moses.
15
And You gave them bread from heaven for their food, and You brought them water from a rock for their thirst; and You told them to go in to inherit the land over which You stretched out Your hand to give to them.
Nehemiah 9:18-22
18
And still farther they even made for themselves a molded calf, and said, These [are] the gods that brought us up out of Egypt: and they worked great provocations.
19
Yet You in Your great mercy did not forsake them in the wilderness; You did not turn away from them the pillar of the cloud by day, to guide them in the way, nor the pillar of fire by night, to enlighten for them the way in which they should walk.
20
And You gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, and You did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, and gave them water in their thirst.
21
And You sustained them forty years in the wilderness; You did not allow anything to fail them. Their garments did not wear out, and their feet were not bruised.
22
Moreover, You gave them kingdoms, and divided nations to them; and they inherited the land of Sihon, king of Hesbron, and the land of Og king of Bashan.
Psalm 78:14-33
14
And He guided them with a cloud by day, and all the night with a light of fire.
15
He split a rock in the wilderness, and made them drink as in a great deep.
16
And He brought water out of the rock, and caused waters to flow down as rivers.
17
And they sinned yet more against Him; they provoked the Most High in the wilderness.
18
And they tempted God in their hearts, in asking meat for [the desire of] their souls.
19
They spoke also against God, and said, Will God be able to prepare a table in the wilderness?
20
Forasmuch as He struck the rock, and the waters flowed, and the torrents ran abundantly; will He be able also to give bread, or prepare a table for His people?
21
Therefore the Lord heard, and was provoked: and fire was kindled in Jacob, and wrath went up against Israel.
22
Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in His salvation.
23
Yet He commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,
24
and rained upon them manna to eat, and gave them the bread of heaven.
25
Man ate angels' bread; He sent them provision to the full.
26
He removed the south wind from heaven; and by His might He brought in the south west wind.
27
And He rained upon them flesh like dust, and feathered birds like the sand on the seashore.
28
And they fell into the midst of their camp, round about their tents.
29
So they ate, and were completely filled; and He gave them their desire.
30
They were not disappointed of their desire, [but] when their food was yet in their mouth,
31
then the indignation of God rose up against them, and slew the fattest of them, and overthrew the choice men of Israel.
32
In the midst of all this they sinned yet more, and believed not His miracles.
33
And their days were consumed in vanity, and their years with anxiety.
Psalm 105:39-45
39
He spread out a cloud for a covering to them, and fire to give them light by night.
40
They asked, and the quail came, and He satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41
He split the rock, and the waters flowed; rivers ran in dry places.
42
For He remembered His holy word, which [He promised] to Abraham His servant.
43
And He brought out His people with exaltation, and His elect with joy;
44
and He gave them the lands of the heathen; and they inherited the labors of the people;
45
that they might keep His ordinances, and diligently seek His law.
Psalm 106:17
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and closed upon the congregation of Abiram.
Psalm 106:18
And a fire was kindled in their congregation, and a flame burned up the sinners.
Psalm 135:10-12
10
Who struck many nations, and slew mighty kings;
11
Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan,
12
and gave their land [for] an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel His people.
Psalm 136:16-21
16
To Him who led His people through the wilderness; for His mercy [endures] forever.
17
To Him who struck down great kings; for His mercy [endures] forever;
18
and slew mighty kings; for His mercy [endures] forever:
19
Sihon king of the Amorites; for His mercy [endures] forever;
20
and Og king of Bashan; for His mercy [endures] forever;
21
and gave their land [for] an inheritance; for His mercy [endures] forever;
