[ 3:10] And the Lord God called Adam and said to him, Adam, where are you?

[ 3:12] And God said to him, Who told you that you were naked, unless you have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?

[ 3:14] And the Lord God said to the woman, Why have you done this? And the woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate.

And calling him, he said to him, 'What is this I hear about you? Render an account of your management, for you can no longer be manager.'

Now we know that as many things as the law says, it speaks to those under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

And he said, "The Jews have agreed to ask that tomorrow you bring Paul down to the Sanhedrin, as though they are going to learn something more accurate concerning him.

Then the commander dismissed the young man, and commanded him, "Tell no one that you have made known these things to me."

And if your brother by your father or mother, or your son, or daughter, or your wife in your bosom, or friend who is equal to your own soul, entreat you secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known,

you shall not consent to him, neither shall you hearken to him; and your eye shall not spare him, you shall feel no regret for him, neither shall you at all protect him:

He that unjustly strikes hands shall not be unpunished, but he that sows righteousness shall receive a faithful reward.

Everyone that is proud in heart is unclean before God, and he that unjustly strikes hands with hand shall not be held guiltless.

If you saw a thief, you ran along with him, and have cast in your lot with adulterers.

They prepare their hands for mischief, the prince asks a [reward], and the judge speaks flattering words; it is the desire of their soul;

But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart [for] you to lie to the Holy Spirit, and [for] you to keep back for yourself from the price of the land?

While it remained unsold, did it not remain yours? And after it was sold, was it not in your control? Why have you purposed this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."

And the people reviled Moses, saying, Give us water, that we may drink! And Moses said to them, Why do you revile me, and why do you tempt the Lord?

And he called the name of that place, Temptation and Reviling, because of the reviling of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, Is the Lord among us or not?

For all the men who see My glory, and the signs which I have done in Egypt, and in the wilderness, and have tempted Me this tenth time, and have not hearkened to My voice,

And they tempted God in their hearts, in asking meat for [the desire of] their souls.

Forasmuch as He struck the rock, and the waters flowed, and the torrents ran abundantly; will He be able also to give bread, or prepare a table for His people?

Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, according to the day of trial in the wilderness;

Forty years was I grieved with this generation, and said, They do always err in their heart, and they have not known My ways.

Jesus said to him, "Again, it is written, 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.'"

nor let us tempt Christ, just as also some of them tempted [Him], and were destroyed by the serpents;

And the young men rose up and covered him up, carried him out, and buried him.

And Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him; and [the king] sent a man before him. [But b]efore the messenger came to him, [Elisha] said to the elders, Do you see that this son of a murderer has sent to take away my head? See, as soon as the messenger has come, shut the door, and forcibly detain him at the door: [is] not the sound of his master's feet behind him?

And how shall they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, of those preaching the gospel of good things!"
