And when he had spoken this, there came to be a dispute between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided.

And there came to be a great outcry, and the scribes of the Pharisees' party stood up and contended sharply, saying, "We find no evil in this man; but if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him, let us not fight against God."

For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to You, and the memorial of his inward thought shall keep a feast to You.

Nicodemus (he who came to Him by night, being one of them) said to them,

They answered and said to him, "Are you also from Galilee? Search and see, because no prophet has arisen out of Galilee."

"I am indeed a Jew, having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but having been brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been educated according to the exactness of the law of our forefathers, being zealous for God just as you all are today.

Now it came to pass that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both hearing them and questioning them.

Now it happened on a certain day that He was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there, who had come out of every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was [present] to heal them.

And they commanded them to go away outside the council, and began to confer among themselves,
