Now after five days Ananias the high priest came down with the elders and a certain attorney named Tertullus, who made known to the governor the charges against Paul.

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, What sort of a spirit of the Lord [has] spoken in you?

And he struck him, and cast him into the dungeon which was by the gate of the upper house that was set apart, which was by the house of the Lord.

Now shall the daughter [of Zion] be completely hedged in: he has laid siege against us: they shall smite the tribes of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.

Then they spat in His face, and beat Him with [their] fists; and they slapped [Him],

And when He had said these things, one of the attendants who stood by slapped Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, "Is this how You answer the high priest?"
