And they prayed and said, "You, O Lord, knower of all hearts, show whom You have chosen of these two"

But the Lord said to Samuel, Look not on his appearance, nor on his stature, for I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.

then shall You hearken from heaven, out of Your established dwelling place, and shall be merciful, and shall do, and recompense to [every] man according to his ways, as You shall know his heart, for You alone know the heart of all the children of men;

And now, [my] son Solomon, know the God of your fathers, and serve Him with a perfect heart and a willing soul; for the Lord searches all hearts, and knows every thought: if you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you should forsake Him, He will forsake you forever.

And I know, O Lord, that You are He that searches the hearts, and You love righteousness. I have willingly offered all these things in simplicity of heart. And now I have seen with joy Your people, who are present here, willingly offering to You.

for He knows the secrets of the heart.

For the end, A Psalm of David. O Lord, You have proved me, and known me.

You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thoughts long before.

O Lord, [You] that judges righteously, and who tests the heart and the most secret parts, let me see Your vengeance [taken] upon them, for to You I have declared my cause.

I, the Lord, search the hearts, and test the mind, to give to everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruits of his doings.

O Lord, [You] who tests the righteous, [and] who understands the mind and heart, let me see Your vengeance upon them: for to You I have revealed my cause.

But Jesus did not trust Himself to them, because He knew all [men],

and had no need that anyone should testify concerning man, for He himself knew what was in man.

He said to him the third time, "Simon, [son] of Jonah, do you care for Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you care for Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I care for You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.

And there is no creature hidden before Him, but all things are naked and open to His eyes, to whom we must give an account.

I will kill her children by death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

Therefore they spent a considerable time there, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, giving signs and wonders to take place by their hands.

And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified about Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.

God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

And when they had prayed, the place where they were gathered was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those hearing the word.

And those of the circumcision who believed were astounded, as many as had come with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.

"And when I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, as also on us in the beginning.

"If then God has given to them the same gift as He gave to us, when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I [to be] able to hinder God?"
