but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and [from] blood.

But concerning the Gentiles having believed, we wrote, having judged that they should keep no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from things offered to idols, from blood, and [from anything] strangled, and from fornication."

For the blood of all flesh is its life; and I said to the children of Israel, You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood: everyone that eats it shall be destroyed.

I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean of itself; except to him considering anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

But if your brother is grieved on account of your food, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy with your food the one on behalf of whom Christ died.

Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but [are] evil for the man eating with offense.

It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor [to do anything] by which your brother stumbles or is offended or becomes weak.

Look at Israel according to the flesh: are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

[No], but that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not desire that you should have fellowship with demons.

But I have a few things against you, because you have there [some] who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, both to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.

But I have [this] against you, that you tolerate your wife Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit fornication and eat things sacrificed to idols.

and when I was present with you, and in need, I did not burden anyone; for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my need. And in everything I kept myself from being a burden to you, and so I will keep myself.

Lay hands on no one hastily, nor share in [the] sins of others; keep yourself pure.

Pure and undefiled religion before God and [the] Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Little children, guard yourselves from idols. Amen.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

keep yourselves in the love of God, anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

Now to Him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to make you stand before His glory, blameless with exultation,

but bid farewell to them saying, "I must by all means keep this coming feast which is in Jerusalem; but I will return again to you, God willing." And he put out to sea from Ephesus.

And when it became known to me that a plot against the man by the Jews was about to happen, I sent him at once to you, and also commanded the accusers to state the charges against him before you. Farewell.

And another also said, "Lord, I will follow You, but first permit me to say farewell to those who are at my house."

Finally brothers, farewell. Restore [yourselves], comfort [yourselves], be in agreement, be at peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
