to whom they gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, "This man is the great power of God."

And the populace was calling out, "[This is the] voice of a god and not of a man!"

And they were expecting him to be about to swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But after they had waited for a long time and observed nothing unusual happening to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god.
