Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined as a ministry to send relief to the brothers dwelling in Judea;

which they also did, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.

Now there were some in the church being in Antioch [who were] prophets and teachers: Both Barnabas, and Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen, brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Then, fasting and praying, and laying their hands on them, they sent them away.

And arriving in Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. They also had John as their assistant.

Now Paul and his companions put to sea from Paphos, and came to Perga of Pamphylia; But John deserted them and returned to Jerusalem.

But Barnabas desired to take along with them John called Mark.

And realizing [this], he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where a considerable [number] were gathered together and were praying.

She who is in Babylon, elect together with you, greets you; and so does Mark my son.
