Matthew 12:1-14

But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath!"

But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and those who were with him:

how they entered the house of God, and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, except only for the priests?

Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are guiltless?
6
Yet I say to you that [One] greater [than] the temple is here.
7
But if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.
8
For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."

And having departed from there, He went into their synagogue.

And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"--that they might accuse Him.
11
Then He said to them, "What man is there among you who shall have one sheep, and if it should fall into a ditch on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?
12
By how much then is a man worth more than a sheep! So then it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."
13
Then He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and it was restored whole like the other.
14
But the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.
Mark 2:23-28

Luke 6:1-11

Now it came to pass on the first Sabbath of the second month that He was going through the grainfields. And His disciples were picking the heads of grain and were eating [them], rubbing them in their hands.
2
But some of the Pharisees said to them, "Why do you do what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?"
3
But Jesus answering them said, "Have you not even read this, what David did when he became hungry, he and those who were with him:

how he entered into the house of God, took and ate the showbread, and also gave some to those with him, which is not lawful for any but the priests to eat?"

And He said to them, "The Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."

Now it happened that on another Sabbath, He entered the synagogue and was teaching. And there was a man there whose right hand was withered.

And the scribes and Pharisees were observing if whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him.

But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, "Arise and stand in the midst." And he arose and stood.
9
Then Jesus said to them, "I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?"
10
And when He had looked around at them all, He said to him, "Stretch out your hand." And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

But they were filled with fury, and they were discussing with one another what they might do to Jesus.
Luke 13:10-17

Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over and was not able to straighten herself up.
12
And seeing her, Jesus called her to [Him] and said, "Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity."
13
And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and was glorifying God.
14
But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, "There are six days in which one should work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day."
15
The Lord then answered him and said, "Hypocrites! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it?
16
So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, lo, these eighteen years, should she not be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?"
17
And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things which were done by Him.
Luke 14:1
Now it came to pass, when He came into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath, that they were watching Him closely.
