Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said about him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!"

Nathanael answered and said to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"

and had no need that anyone should testify concerning man, for He himself knew what was in man.

He said to him the third time, "Simon, [son] of Jonah, do you care for Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you care for Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I care for You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.

And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. Because that which is exalted among men is an abomination before God.

For the word of God is living and effectual, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

And there is no creature hidden before Him, but all things are naked and open to His eyes, to whom we must give an account.

I will kill her children by death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

How can you believe, who receive glory from one another, and do not seek the glory which is from the only God?

Therefore Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would have loved Me, for I came forth and have come from God; nor have I come from Myself, but He sent Me.

He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear [them], because you are not of God."

And yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I would say that I do not know Him, I would be like you, a liar; but I do know Him, and I keep His word.

He who hates Me hates My Father also.

If I had not done the works among them which no one else has done, they would have no sin; but now they have both seen and they have hated both Me and My Father.

Therefore the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it does not submit to the law of God, nor indeed can it.

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother having need, and shuts off his compassion towards him, how does the love of God abide in him?

If anyone claims, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how is it possible [for him] to love God whom he has not seen?
