and they did not find [any]. And though many false witnesses came forward, they did not find [any]. But at last two false witnesses came forward

and said, "This [Man] said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God, and after three days to rebuild it.'"

and saying, "You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross."

"We heard Him saying, 'I will destroy this temple made with hands, and after three days I will build another [one] not made with hands.'"

And those passing by were blaspheming Him, shaking their heads and saying, "Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days,

For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

saying, "Sir, we remember that that deceiver said while He was still alive, 'After three days I will rise.'

Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father doing; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it [up] again.

No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it [up] again. This command I have received from My Father."

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

And He began to teach them that it was necessary for the Son of Man to suffer many things, and to be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and to be killed, and after three days to rise.

whom God raised, [thus] doing away with the labor pains of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.

"This Jesus God has raised up, of which we all are witnesses."

and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities."

but for us also, to whom it was going to be imputed, those believing on Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit indwelling in you.

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

having been buried together with Him in baptism, in which also you were raised together through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.

For Christ also suffered once to atone for sins, [the] just for [the] unjust, that He might bring you to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit,
