they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But having tasted it, He would not drink.

Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, and filled it with sour wine and put it around a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.

And one, running and having filled a sponge [with] vinegar, and having put it around a reed, was giving a drink to Him, saying, "Leave Him alone; let us see if Elijah is coming to take Him down."

The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine,

And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and having dipped it into some of the blood that is by the door, you shall touch the lintel, and [shall put it] upon both doorposts, even of the blood which is by the door; but none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.

And a clean man shall take hyssop, and dip it into the water, and sprinkle it upon the house, and the furniture, and all the souls that are in there, and upon him that touched the human bone, or the slain man, or the corpse, or the tomb.

And he spoke of trees, from the cedar in Lebanon even to the hyssop which comes out through the wall: he spoke also of cattle, and of birds, and of reptiles, and of fish.

You shall sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be purified; You shall wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.
