Therefore when Jesus received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

Jesus therefore, knowing all things coming upon Him, went out and said to them, "Whom do you seek?"

who appearing in glory were talking about His decease which He was about to accomplish in Jerusalem.

But I have a baptism to be baptized [with], and how distressed I am till it is completed!

Then taking the twelve aside, He said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished.

For I say to you that this which has been written must still be accomplished in Me--the [saying], 'And He was numbered with the transgressors.' For the things concerning Me have a fulfillment."

And when they finished all the things having been written about Him, taking Him down from the tree, they put [Him] in a tomb.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue is glued to My throat; and You have brought Me down to the dust of death.

They gave [me] also gall for my food, and made me drink vinegar for my thirst.
