Therefore having received the piece of bread, he then went out immediately. And it was night.

He answered and said, "He who dipped his hand with Me in the bowl will betray Me.

And they began to be sorrowful, and to say to Him one by one, "[Is it] I?" And another said, "[Is it] I?"

But answering He said to them, "[It is] one of the twelve, the [one] dipping with Me in the bowl.

Nevertheless behold, the hand of him that betrays Me is with Me on the table.

He answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?"

Now He was speaking [about] Judas Iscariot, [the son] of Simon, for he was intending to betray Him, though he was one of the twelve.

Then one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, [son] of Simon, who was about to betray Him, said,

This he said, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to pilfer the things which were placed in it.
