He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.

And I knew that You always hear Me, but because of the people standing around I said [this], so that they may believe that You sent Me."

If I had not done the works among them which no one else has done, they would have no sin; but now they have both seen and they have hated both Me and My Father.

Then He began to reproach the cities in which His very many miracles had been done, because they did not repent:

But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded should one rise from the dead.'"
