One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which is translated, the Christ).

One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to Him,

These twelve Jesus sent forth, commanding them, saying, "Do not go off into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.

And they were bringing to Him little children, that He might touch them; but the disciples were rebuking those who brought them.

But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Allow the little children come to Me, do not hinder them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

Now John answered and said, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us."

But Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid [him], for he who is not against us is for us."
