On the next day He wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, "Follow Me."

Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found the [One] about whom Moses wrote in the Law, and the Prophets--Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."

And Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see."

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said about him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!"

And behold, there [was] a man named Zacchaeus, and he was a chief tax collector, and this [man] was rich.

And he was trying to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature.

and that the Gentiles might glorify God on behalf of His mercy, as it is written: "For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, and I will sing praise to Your name."

And again he says: "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!"

And again: "Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Praise Him, all you peoples!"

And again, Isaiah says: "There shall be the root of Jesse; and He that shall rise to rule over the Gentiles, in Him the Gentiles shall hope."
