And the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went from the country up to Jerusalem before the Passover, so that they might purify themselves.

Now there was a certain man who was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

And the [one] having died came out, bound hands and feet with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped in a handkerchief. Jesus said to them, "Loose him, and let [him] go."

And having left them, He went out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there.

And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple. And having looked around at all things, the hour already being late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.

And He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up His hands, He blessed them.
