So it was, from that day on, [that] half of them that had been driven forth, did the work, and half of them kept guard; and [there were] spears, shields, bows, and breastplates, and rulers behind the whole house of Judah,

Then I testified against them, and said to them, Why do you lodge in front of the wall? If you do so again, I will stretch out my hand upon you. From that time they came not on the Sabbath.

Let the name of the Lord be blessed, now and forevermore.

From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go off to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised the third day.

And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare question Him any longer.

Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, "What are we doing? For this Man works many signs.

The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers gathered themselves together, against the Lord, and against His Christ;

For I heard the slander of many that dwelt round about; when they were gathered together against me, they took counsel to take my life.

For my enemies have spoken against me; and they that lay wait for my soul have taken counsel together,

Then the Pharisees went out with the Herodians and immediately conspired against Him, how they might destroy Him.

But when they heard this, they were infuriated and were resolving to kill them.

Now when many days were fulfilled, the Jews plotted to kill him.

But the chief priests took counsel, that they might also kill Lazarus,

Instead of loving me, they falsely accused me; but I continued to pray.

And they rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

And they said to the king, Let that man be slain, for he weakens the hands of the fighting men that are left in the city, and the hands of all the people, speaking to them according to these words; for this man does not prophesy peace to this people, but evil.

And Jeremiah said to the king, If I tell you, will you not certainly put me to death? And if I give you counsel, you will by no means listen to me.

Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the Sanhedrin were seeking false witnesses against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death,

Now after two days it was the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might get hold of Him by guile, and [how] they might kill [Him].
