And seeing their faith, He said to him, "Man, your sins have been forgiven you."

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who is this [Man] who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins except God alone?"

And at once some of the scribes said among themselves, "This Man blasphemes!"

Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who is able to forgive sins except God alone?"
