Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your belongings, do not ask for [them] back.

You shall surely give to him, and you shall lend to him as much as he wants, according as he is in need. And you shall not grudge in your heart as you give to him, because on this account the Lord your God will bless you in all your works, and in all things on which you shall lay your hand.

Blessed [be] the Lord God of our fathers, who has put it thus into the heart of the king, to glorify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem;

and has given me favor in the eyes of the king, and of his counselors, and all the rulers of the king, the exalted ones. And I was strengthened according to the good hand of God upon me, and I gathered chief men of Israel to go up with me.

But the helpless missed not whatever need they had, and I did not cause the eye of the widow to fail.

(for I nourished them as a father from my youth and guided [them] from my mother's womb.)

and if the poor did not bless me, and their shoulders were not warmed with the fleece of my lambs;

And all his brothers and sisters heard all that had happened to him, and they came to him, and so did all that had known him from the first; and they ate and drank with him, and comforted him, and wondered at all that the Lord had brought upon him: and each one gave him a lamb, and four drachmas of gold, even of unstamped [gold].

Honor the Lord with your just labors, and give Him the firstfruits of your righteousness,

that your storehouses may be completely filled with grain, and that your presses may burst forth with wine.

The blessing of the Lord is upon the head of the righteous; it enriches him, and grief of heart shall not be added to it.

He that has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will recompense to him according to his gift.

He that has pity on the poor shall himself be maintained, for he has given of his own bread to the poor. [ 22:9A] He that gives liberally secures victory an honor, but he takes away the life of them that posses them.

Send forth your bread upon the face of the water, for you shall find it after many days.

Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for you know not what evil there shall be upon the earth.

And whoever gives one of these little [ones] only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."

but by way of equality, that now at the present time your abundance [may supply] their need, that their abundance also may supply your need, in order that there may be equality.

As it is written, "He [who ga]there[d] much did not have too much, and he [who ga]there[d] little had no lack."

But this I say: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that in everything always having all sufficiency, you may abound for every good work,

Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit which is increasing to your account.

And my God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Repay to our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, with which they have reproached You, O Lord.

And if an unjust witness rise up against a man, alleging iniquity against him,

And the judges shall make diligent inquiry; and behold, [if] an unjust witness has borne unjust testimony, [and] has stood up against his brother,

And the rest shall hear and fear, and do no more according to this evil thing in the midst of you.

And Adoni-Bezek said, Seventy kings, having their thumbs and their big toes cut off, gathered their food under my table: as I therefore have done, so God has recompensed me: and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

So Haman was hanged on the gallows that had been prepared for Mordecai; and then the king's wrath was appeased.

also how he went in to the king, telling [him] to hang Mordecai. But all the calamities he tried to bring upon the Jews came upon himself, and he was hanged, and his children.

With the holy, You shall be holy; and with the blameless, You shall be blameless.

And with the excellent, You shall be excellent; and with the perverse, You shall be shrewd.

For the end, A Psalm of David. Blessed [is the man] who thinks on the poor and needy; the Lord shall deliver him in an evil day.

May the Lord preserve him and keep him alive, and bless him on the earth, and not deliver him into the hands of his enemy.

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with what measure you measure, it will be measured [back] to you.

Then He said to them, "Watch what you hear. By what measure you measure, it will be measured out to you; and [more] will be added to you who hear.

For judgment is without mercy to the one who does not show mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

And I heard the angel of the waters saying: "You are righteous, the One who is, and who was, holy, because You have judged these things.

Because they shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You gave them blood to drink. They deserve it."
