For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

And if you greet your friends only, what more are you doing [than others]? Do not even the tax collectors do so?

For this is admirable, if because of conscience toward God someone endures pain, suffering unjustly.

For what glory [is it], if when you sin and are beaten, you endure? But if when you do good and suffer [for it], you endure, this is admirable before God.
