Then they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing because they were counted worthy to be dishonored on behalf of the name of Jesus.

quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became mighty in battle, turned to flight the armies of foreigners.

Still others took a trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and of prison.

of whom the world was not worthy, wandering in deserts and mountains and caves, and the holes of the earth.
