But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And their voices and [those] of the chief priests prevailed.

And as He said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be dreadfully hostile, and to cross-examine Him about many things,

Many bulls have compassed Me; fat bulls have beset Me round about.

They have opened their mouth against Me, as a ravening and roaring lion.

For many dogs have compassed Me; the assembly of the evildoers has enclosed Me; they pierced My hands and My feet.

and He has delivered my soul from the midst of [the lion's] whelps; I lay down to sleep, [though] troubled. [As for] the sons of men, their teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

Those that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; my enemies that persecute me unrighteously are strengthened. Then I restored that which I took not away.

And Pilate, seeing that nothing was being gained, but rather a riot was starting, taking water, he washed his hands clean in front of the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just [Man]. You see to it."

But they cried out, "Away [with Him], away [with Him]! Crucify Him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar!"

But when they heard this, they were infuriated and were resolving to kill them.

Now hearing these things they were infuriated in their hearts, and were gnashing their teeth against him.

Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one purpose;

And when much dissension developed, the commander, fearing lest Paul might be torn apart by them, commanded the detachment of soldiers to go down and seize him from the midst of them, and to bring [him] into the barracks.

Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news about Him went out through all the surrounding region.

And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.

Now when Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, He departed into Galilee.

so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

the people sitting in darkness have seen a great light, and to those who sat in the land and the shadow of death, light sprang up on them."

Now after John was imprisoned, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

On the next day He wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, "Follow Me."

This beginning of the signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

Others said, "This is the Christ." Others said, "But the Christ is not coming out of Galilee, [is He]?

They answered and said to him, "Are you also from Galilee? Search and see, because no prophet has arisen out of Galilee."

you know, the word coming to be throughout all of Judea, and beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John proclaimed,
