But supposing Him to be in the caravan, they went a day's journey, and sought Him among their relatives and among their acquaintances.

And when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him.

And he said to them, Depart for three days, and return to me. And they departed.

And all Israel came to King Rehoboam on the third day, as the king spoke to them, saying, Return to me on the third day.

For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go off to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised the third day.

saying, "Sir, we remember that that deceiver said while He was still alive, 'After three days I will rise.'

"Therefore command that the grave be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him, and say to the people, 'He was raised from the dead.' So the last deception will be worse [than] the first."

Now it happened on a certain day that He was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there, who had come out of every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was [present] to heal them.

Then someone in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in honor by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a short time.

Hearken to Me, you islands; and attend, you Gentiles; after a long time it shall come to pass, says the Lord; from my mother's womb He has called my name;

and He has made my mouth as a sharp sword, and He has hid me under the shadow of His hand; He has made me as a choice shaft, and He has hid me in His quiver;

The Lord, [even] God, gives me the tongue of instruction, to know when it is fit to speak a word; He has appointed for me early, He has given me an ear to hear;
