But who am I, and what [is] my people, that we have been able to be thus forward [in offering] to You? For all things [are] Yours, and of Your own have we given You,

O Lord our God, as for all this abundance which I have prepared that a house should be built to Your holy name, it is of Your hand, and all [is] Yours.

Is it not the Lord that teaches understanding and knowledge?

For what does it matter to the Lord, if you were blameless in your works? Or is it profitable that you should perfect your way?

And if you have also transgressed much, what can you perform?

And suppose you are righteous, what will you give Him? Or what shall He receive from your hand?

I said to the Lord, You are my Lord; my goodness is nothing apart from You.

On behalf of the saints that are in His land, He has magnified all His pleasure in them.

Let their way be dark and slippery, and an angel of the Lord persecuting them.

For without cause they have hid for me their destructive snare; without a cause they have reproached my soul.

[ 15:33A] All the works of the humble man are manifest with God, but the ungodly shall perish in an evil day.

And I said, Woe is me, for I am pricked to the heart; for being a man, and having unclean lips, I dwell in the midst of a people having unclean lips; and I have seen with my eyes the King, the Lord of hosts.

and we have all become as unclean, and all our righteousness is as a filthy rag; and we have fallen as leaves because of our iniquities; thus the wind shall carry us [away].

And cast the useless servant into the darkness outside. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?

Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'

All [have] turned aside; together they became unprofitable; there is not [one] doing kindness, there is not so much as one."

"Or who has first given to Him, and it shall be repaid to him?"

For if I preach the gospel, there is nothing for me to boast about, for necessity is pressed upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!

For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if unwillingly, I have been entrusted with a commission.

For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than them all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

More than that I also consider all things to be loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have sustained the loss of all things, and I consider them to be rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through [the] faith of Christ, the righteousness [which is] from God by faith;

who once was unprofitable to you, but now is useful to you and to me,

Likewise, younger [people], subject yourselves to [the] elders. And all of you be subject to one another, and be clothed with humility, because "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
