"No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts [it] under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.

For there is nothing hidden which will not become manifest, nor anything concealed which will not be known and come to light.

Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it shines on everything in the house.

And He said to them, "A lamp is not brought so that it may be put under a measuring basket or under a bed, [is it]? [Is it] not [brought] so that it may be put on a lampstand?

Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

I have come as a light into the world, so that whoever believes in Me may not abide in darkness.

in order that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine as light bearers in the world,

holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
