And the Lord said to him, In what way? And he said, I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, You shall deceive him; yea, and you shall prevail: go forth, and do so.

Then the Lord said to the devil, Behold, I give all that he has into your hand, but touch not himself. So the devil went out from the presence of the Lord.

And the Lord said to the devil, Behold, I deliver him up to you; only save his life.

And He said to them, "Go." So they came out, and went off into the herd of swine. And behold, the whole herd of swine rushed violently down the steep bank into the sea, and died in the waters.

who having gone into heaven, is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers being subjected to Him.

And a mouth was given to him speaking great things and blasphemy, and authority was given to him to make war for forty-two months.

And it was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, people, language, and nation.

Now after the thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison,

You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you desire to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own [resources], for he is a liar, and the father of lies.
