Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes gathered together to Him, having come from Jerusalem.

Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem approached Jesus, saying,

Now it happened on a certain day that He was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there, who had come out of every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was [present] to heal them.

But I am a worm, and not a man; a reproach of men, and the scorn of the people.

But the Pharisees said, " By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons."

It is enough for a disciple that he become like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call his household members!

But the Pharisees, having heard, said, "This [Man] does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, ruler of the demons."

But some of them said, "He casts out demons by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons."

The crowd answered and said, "You have a demon. Who is seeking to kill You?"

Then the Jews answered and said to Him, "Do we not say well that You are a Samaritan, and You have a demon?"

Then the Jews said to Him, "Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham and the prophets died, and You say, 'If anyone keeps My word he shall by no means taste death.'

Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter.
