And as He was walking alongside the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

And Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I shall build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

And he led him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas" (which is translated, A Stone).

Now I say this, that each of you says, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos," and "I of Cephas," and "I of Christ."

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come-all things are yours.

Do we have no right to take along a wife [who is] a sister, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

but on the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted [with] the gospel for the uncircumcised, just as Peter [with the gospel] for the circumcised,

and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace which was given to me, they gave me and Barnabas [their] right [hands] of fellowship, that we [should go] to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised;
