As a father pities [his] children, the Lord pities them that fear Him.

[As for] man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so shall he flourish.

I will not take vengeance on you forever, neither will I be always angry with you; for My Spirit shall go forth from Me, and I have created all breath.

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation, He will also make the way out, [so as for] you to be able to bear it.

No one puts on a patch of a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for it takes away its completeness from the garment, and the tear is made worse.
