And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."

And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, "It was never seen like this in Israel!"

Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute [man] both spoke and saw.

And all the crowds were amazed and said, "This is not the Son of David, [is it]?"

So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

And amazement came upon all, and they spoke among themselves, saying, "What [is] this word! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out."

And having called together the twelve, He gave them power and authority over all demons, and to heal diseases.

Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name."

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
