Now all this came to pass that the thing spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,

and was there until the death of Herod, so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt I called My Son."

And when he arrived, he settled down in a city called Nazareth, so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, "He would be called a Nazarene."

so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities, and bore our diseases."

so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,

He will not quarrel nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.

And in His name [the] nations shall hope."

How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?"

But all this has happened so that the Scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled." Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.

For I say to you that this which has been written must still be accomplished in Me--the [saying], 'And He was numbered with the transgressors.' For the things concerning Me have a fulfillment."

Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me."

But [this was] so that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, 'They hated Me without cause.'

After this, Jesus, seeing that all things already had been fulfilled, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, He said, "I thirst!"

For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, "Not a bone of His shall be broken."

And again another Scripture says, "They shall look at [Him] whom they pierced."

Drink this first. Act quickly, O land of Zebulun, land of Naphtali, and the rest [that inhabit] the seacoast, and [the land] beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles.

O people walking in darkness, behold a great light; you that dwell in the region [and] shadow of death, a light shall shine upon you.
