Watch therefore, for you do not know in what hour your Lord is coming.

"Watch therefore, for you do not know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Take heed, stay awake and pray; for you do not know when the time is.

Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming--at evening, or at midnight, or at dawn, or early in the morning--

And the things I say to you, I say to all: watch!"

Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. Indeed the spirit is eager, but the flesh is weak."

Watch therefore, praying always that you may be counted worthy to escape everything that is about to happen, and to stand before the Son of Man."

And having come to the place, He said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation."

Then He said to them, "Why do you sleep? Rise up and pray, lest you enter into temptation."

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be courageous, be strong.

through every prayer and petition, praying in every season in the Spirit, being watchful to this same thing with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints--

Now the end of all things is at hand; therefore be of sound mind and self-controlled in your prayers.

Be sober, be watchful; your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour.

Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and guards his garments, lest he should walk naked and they should see his shame."

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil [one]. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Go not in the ways of the ungodly, neither covet the ways of transgressors.

In whatever place they shall pitch their camp, do not go there; but turn from them, and pass away.

But those on the rock are they that, whenever they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of testing fall away.

And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil [one]."

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation, He will also make the way out, [so as for] you to be able to bear it.

then the Lord knows [how] to deliver the godly out of temptation and [how] to keep the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of testing which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those that dwell upon the earth.

You have commanded [us] diligently to keep Your precepts.

O that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes.

For Your testimonies are my meditation, and Your statutes are my counselors.

My soul has cleaved to the ground; revive me according to Your word.

I ran the way of Your commandments, when You enlarged my heart.

Guide me in the path of Your commandments; for I have delighted in it.

Turn away my eyes that I may not behold vanity; revive me in Your way.

Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

For they that work iniquity have not walked in His ways.

O that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes.

I will give You thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learned the judgments of Your righteousness.

How shall a young man direct his way? By keeping Your words.

I have hidden Your oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

With my lips have I declared all the judgments of Your mouth.

I will meditate on Your commandments, and consider Your ways.

Render a recompense to Your servant; [so] shall I live, and keep Your words.

I am a stranger in the earth; hide not Your commandments from me.

You have rebuked the proud; cursed are they that turn aside from Your commandments.

For princes sat and spoke against me; but Your servant was meditating on Your statutes.

My soul has cleaved to the ground; revive me according to Your word.

Instruct me in the ways of Your statutes; and I will meditate on Your wondrous works.

Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by Your law.

I have cleaved to Your testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.

Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, and I will seek it out continually.

Guide me in the path of Your commandments; for I have delighted in it.

Turn away my eyes that I may not behold vanity; revive me in Your way.

For the way of the Lord is judgment; we have hoped in Your name, and on the remembrance [of You],

which our soul longs for; my spirit seeks You very early in the morning, O God, for Your commandments are a light on the earth; learn righteousness, you that dwell upon the earth.

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but [how] to do the good, I do not find.

But if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I [who] am doing it, but the sin dwelling in me.

For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.

O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from this body of death?

For what [was] impossible [for] the law to do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and concerning sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,

But I treat my body roughly, and I bring it into subjection, lest, having preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall by no means fulfill the lust of the flesh.

For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these things oppose each other, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

Not that I have already obtained, or have already been made perfect; but I press on, if also I may lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
