But Peter said to Him, "Even if all will be made to stumble, yet not I."

But he said to Him, "Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death."

Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, where are You going?" Jesus answered him, "Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but later you will follow Me."

Jesus answered him, "Will you lay down your life for Me? Most assuredly I say to you, the rooster shall by no means crow till you deny Me three times.

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, [son] of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I care for You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs."

Direct my steps in Your paths, that my steps slip not.

Uphold me according to Your word, and revive me; and make me not ashamed of my hope.

Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate on Your statutes continually.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Better is a meek-spirited man with lowliness, than one who divides spoils with the proud.

A man is valuable and a merciful man precious, but it is hard to find a faithful man.

An unbelieving man judges rashly, but he that trusts in the Lord will act carefully.

He that trusts to a bold heart, such a one is a fool: but he that walks in wisdom shall be safe.

The heart is deep beyond all things, and it constitutes the man, and who can know him?

Be warmly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor preferring one another;

doing nothing according to selfish ambition or conceit, but with humility, regarding one another as being better than yourselves.

Likewise, younger [people], subject yourselves to [the] elders. And all of you be subject to one another, and be clothed with humility, because "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
