Accept correction, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you should perish from the righteous way. Whenever His wrath shall be suddenly kindled, blessed are all they that trust in Him.

And if you shall trust in Him, He shall be to you for a sanctuary; and you shall not come against [Him] as against a stumbling stone, neither as against the falling of a rock; but the houses of Jacob are in a snare, and those who dwell in Jerusalem are in a pit.

Therefore many among them shall be weak and fall, and be crushed; and they shall draw near, and men shall be taken securely.

For the nations and the kings which will not serve you shall perish; and those nations shall be made utterly desolate.

And it shall come to pass in that day [that] I will make Jerusalem a trodden stone to all the nations; everyone that tramples on it shall utterly mock at it, and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered together against it.

"Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."

Just as it is written: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and rock of offense, and everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame."

But even if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden among those who are perishing,

among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine on them.

and "a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense." They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.

Indeed, the Son of Man goes just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."

And all the people answered and said, "His blood [be] on us and on our children."

You shall rule them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces as a potter's vessel.

Let Your hand be found by all Your enemies; let Your right hand find all that hate You.

You shall make them as a fiery oven at the time of Your presence; the Lord shall trouble them in His anger, and fire shall devour them.

The Lord at Your right hand has dashed in pieces kings in the day of His wrath.

He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill up [the number of] corpses, He shall crush the heads of many on the earth.

You saw until a stone was cut out of a mountain without hands, and it struck the image upon its feet of iron and clay, and utterly reduced them to powder.

Then once for all the clay, the iron, the brass, the silver, and the gold were ground into powder, and became as chaff from the summer threshing floor. And the violence of the wind carried them away, and no place was found for them. And the stone which had struck the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and His kingdom shall not be left to another people, [but] it shall beat to pieces and grind to powder all [other] kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

Whereas you saw that a stone was cut out of a mountain without hands, and it beat to pieces the clay, the iron, the brass, the silver, and the gold; the great God has made known to the king what must happen hereafter: and the dream is true, and its interpretation is sure.

Jesus answered, "You would have no authority at all against Me unless it had been given to you from above. Therefore the one who betrayed Me to you has a greater sin."

forbidding us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved, so as always to fill up [the measure of] their sins; but the wrath [of God] has come upon them to the uttermost.

For if the word which was spoken through angels was confirmed, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward,

how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which in the beginning was spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard [Him],
