My eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not Your law.

I beheld men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not Your oracles.

Who will give water to my head, and a fountain of tears to my eyes? Then would I weep for this my people day and night, [even] for the slain of the daughter of my people.

And looking around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

And as He drew near, seeing the city, He wept over it,

I am speaking truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience witnessing with me in the Holy Spirit,

For I could wish that I myself to be accursed from Christ on behalf of my brothers, my countrymen according to the flesh,

Rejoice with those that rejoice, and weep with those that weep.

To our shame, I say that we were too weak [for that]! But in whatever anyone is bold (I speak foolishly) I am bold also.

Remember the prisoners as if having been bound with them, those who are ill treated, as you yourselves are in the body also.

[ 37:1] And these are the generations of Jacob. And Joseph was seventeen years old, feeding the sheep of his father with his brothers, being young; with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, the wives of his father; and Joseph brought a bad report of them to Israel their father.

So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.'

Obey your leaders, and submit to [them], for they keep watch over your souls, as giving an account, in order that they may do this with joy and not groaning, for this [would be] unprofitable for you.
