And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says: 'Hearing you shall hear and by no means understand, and seeing you shall see and by no means perceive.

Now all this took place so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:

"Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your King is coming to you, humble, and sitting on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.'"

I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter dark sayings [which have been] from the beginning.

I will incline my ear to a parable; I will open my riddle on the harp.

Behold, the ancient things have come to pass, and [so will] the new things which I tell you; yes, before I declare [them] they are made known to you.

For the Lord God will do nothing without revealing instruction to His servants the prophets.

Nevertheless it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

[] Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to [the] revelation of [the] mystery kept secret since the world began,

[] but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the eternal God, for obedience to the faith--

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the [wisdom] having been hidden, which God foreordained before the ages for our glory,

which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:

and to enlighten all [as to] what is the administration of the mystery, which had been hidden from the ages in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ;

of which I became a minister according to the stewardship of God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

the mystery which has been hidden from the ages and from generations, but now was revealed to His saints.

who having saved us, and having called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time [itself],

but has now been revealed through the appearance of our Savior Jesus Christ, having nullified death on the one hand, [and] having brought to life immortality through the gospel on the other,

in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time [itself],

but has in due time manifested His word in a proclamation, [with] which I was entrusted according to the command of God our Savior;

God, who in various ways and in many ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ in them was revealing when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories which were to follow:

To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to you they were ministering these things, which things were now announced to you by those who proclaimed the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven--things which angels desire to look into.

Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Father, I desire that those also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, so that they may behold My glory which You gave to Me; because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

"Known from everlasting to God are all His works.

having been foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, He was made manifest in these last times for you,

who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

And all those who dwell on the earth shall worship him, whose name is not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The Beast which you saw was, and is not, and is about to ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth shall marvel, whose name is not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the Beast that was, and is not, and shall be present.
