Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and died. And great fear came upon all those hearing these things.

And it happened about three hours later, that his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.

And Peter answered her, "Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?" She said, "Yes, for so much."

Then Peter said to her, "Why is it that it was agreed by you to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they shall carry you out."

Then immediately she fell down beside his feet and died. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her with her husband.

And great fear came to be on all the church and upon all those who were hearing these things.
