For the sons of Judah according to their families, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, everyone that goes forth with the army,

the numbering of them of the tribe of Judah was seventy-four thousand six hundred.

And they that encamp first toward the east [shall be] the order of the camp of Judah with their army, and the prince of the sons of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

His forces that were numbered were seventy-four thousand six hundred.

Judah, your brothers have praised you, and your hands shall be on the back of your enemies; your father's sons shall bow down before you.

for Judah [was] very mighty even among his brethren, and one was to be a ruler out of him: but the blessing [was] Joseph's).

[May] the Lord add [blessings] to you and to your children.

For it is evident that our Lord has risen out of Judah, regarding which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
