And Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time: the Lord is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

Pray then for me to the Lord, and let Him cause the thundering of God to cease, and the hail and the fire, and I will send you forth and you shall remain no longer.

And all the people said to Samuel, Pray for your servants to the Lord your God, and let us not die; for we have added to all our sins this iniquity, in asking for us a king.

And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned, in that I have transgressed the word of the Lord and your direction; for I feared the people, and I listened to their voice.

And Saul said, I have sinned; yet honor me, I pray, before the elders of Israel, and before my people; and turn back with me, and I will worship the Lord your God.

When He slew them, they sought Him; and they returned and sought diligently after God.

saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." And they said, "What is [that] to us? You see to it!"

And Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron, and said, Pray for me to the Lord, and let Him take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will send them away, and they shall sacrifice to the Lord.

And Pharaoh said, I [will] let you go and sacrifice to your God in the wilderness, but do not go very far away- pray then to the Lord for me.

And King Jeroboam said to the man of God, Intreat the Lord your God, and let my hand be restored to me. And the man of God intreated the Lord, and He restored the king's hand to him, and it became as before.

And King Zedekiah sent Jehucal son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the priest, son of Maaseiah, to Jeremiah, saying, Pray now for us to the Lord.

Then Simon answered and said, "Pray to the Lord for me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me."

Confess your transgressions to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of the righteous is very powerful.

And the people cried to Moses, and Moses prayed to the Lord, and the fire was quenched.

And now, O Lord, let Your strength be exalted, as You spoke, saying,

Forgive this people their sin according to Your great mercy, as You were favorable to them from Egypt until now.

But now return the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and [he] shall pray for you, and you shall live; but if you restore her not, know that you and all yours shall die.

And Moses prayed before the Lord God, and said, Why, O Lord, are You very angry with Your people, whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great strength, and with Your mighty arm?

And it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people, You have sinned a great sin; and now I will go up to God, that I may make atonement for your sin.

And He was angry with Aaron to destroy him utterly, and I prayed for Aaron also at that time.

And I prayed to God, and said, O Lord, King of gods, destroy not Your people and Your inheritance, whom You redeemed, whom You brought out of the land of Egypt with Your great power, and with Your strong hand, and with Your outstretched arm.

Lest the inhabitants of the land from which You brought us out speak, saying, Because the Lord could not bring them into the land of which He spoke to them, and because He hated them, has He brought them forth to slay them in the wilderness.

And Samuel said to the people, Fear not: you have [indeed] done all this wickedness; only turn not from following the Lord, and serve the Lord with all your heart.

For the Lord will not cast off His people for His great name's sake, because the Lord graciously took you to Himself for a people.

Now then take seven bullocks, and seven rams, and go to My servant Job, and he shall offer a burnt offering for you. And My servant Job shall pray for you, for I will only accept him: for but his sake, I would have destroyed you, for you have not spoken the truth against My servant Job.

And the Lord prospered Job. And when he prayed also for his friends, He forgave them [their] sin: and the Lord gave Job twice as much, even double of what he had before.

So He said that He would have destroyed them, had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, to turn [Him] away from the fierceness of His anger, so that He should not destroy them.

And the Lord said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before My face, My soul could not be toward them: dismiss this people, and let them go forth.

Brothers, the good pleasure of my heart and my supplication to God on behalf of Israel, is for [their] salvation.
