The word of the Lord which came to Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel.

As also in Hosea He says: "I will call those My people who were not My people, and her beloved, who was not beloved."

Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.

But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, of those that spied out the land, tore their clothes,

you shall not enter into the land for which I stretched out My hand to establish you upon it; except only Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

And Moses said to Joshua, Choose out for yourself mighty men, and go forth and set the army in array against Amalek tomorrow; and behold, I [shall] stand on the top of the hill, and the rod of God [will be] in my hand.

And she shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins."

"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."

which also our fathers, having received in turn, also brought in with Joshua into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers until the days of David,

For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not have spoken afterward of another day.
