then his brother's wife shall come forward before the elders, and shall loose one shoe from off his foot, and shall spit in his face, and shall answer and say, Thus shall they do to the man who will not build his brother's house in Israel.

And they stood aloof and abhorred me, and spared not to spit in my face.

I gave my back to scourges, and my cheeks to blows; and I turned not away my face from the shame of spitting;

Then they spat in His face, and beat Him with [their] fists; and they slapped [Him],

Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we respected [them]. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

Command the children of Israel, and let them send forth out of the camp every leper, and everyone who has in issue of the reins, and everyone who is unclean from a dead body.

Whether male or female, send them forth out of the camp; and they shall not defile their camps in which I dwell among them.

And the leper in whom the plague is, let his garments be torn, and his head uncovered; and let him have a covering put upon his mouth, and he shall be called unclean.

All the days in which the plague shall be upon him, being unclean, he shall be [esteemed] unclean; he shall dwell apart, his place of sojourn shall be outside the camp.

And the man that has been cleansed shall wash his garments, and shall shave off all his hair, and shall wash himself in water, and shall be clean; and after that he shall go into the camp, and shall remain out of his house for seven days.

And Azariah the chief priest, and the [other] priests, turned [to look] at him, and behold, he [was] leprous in his forehead; and they got him out of there quickly, for he also hastened to go out, because the Lord had rebuked him.

And Uzziah the king was a leper to the day of his death, and he dwelt [as] a leper in a separate house; for he was cut off from the house of the Lord; and Jotham his son [was set] over his kingdom, judging the people of the land.
