And they came to Reuel their father; and he said to them, Why have you come so quickly today?

And Moses was feeding the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he brought the sheep close to the wilderness, and came to the mount of Horeb.

And Jethro the priest of Midian, the father-in-law of Moses, heard of all that the Lord did to His people Israel; for the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt.

And Moses dismissed his father-in-law, and he returned to his own land.

Then the Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him, I will give this land to your seed. And Abram built an altar there to the Lord who appeared to him.

for all the land which you see, I will give to you and to your seed forever.

In that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, To your seed I will give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates.

And He gave him no inheritance in it, not even a place to put his foot on, and He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him, though he had no child.

And the children of Jethro the Kenite, the father-in-law of Moses, went up from the City of Palm Trees with the children of Judah, to the wilderness that is in the south of Judah, which is at the descent of Arad, and they dwelt with the people.

And Heber the Kenite had removed from Caina, from the sons of Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses, and pitched his tent by the oak of the covetous ones, which is near Kedesh.

And Saul said to the Kenite, Go, and depart out of the midst of the Amalekites, lest I put you with them; for you dealt mercifully with the children of Israel when they went up out of Egypt. So the Kenite departed from the midst of Amalek.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who hopes in Him.

And many nations shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will tell us His way, and we will walk in it; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord out of Jerusalem.

They shall ask the way till [they come to] Zion, for that way shall they set their face; and they shall come and flee for refuge to the Lord their God; for the everlasting covenant shall not be forgotten.

and the inhabitants of five cities shall come together to one city, saying, Let us go to make supplication to the Lord, and to seek the face of the Lord Almighty; I will go also.

Thus says the Lord Almighty; In those days [My word shall be fulfilled] if ten men of all the languages of the nations should take hold- even take hold of the hem of a Jew, saying, We will go with you; for we have heard that God is with you.

And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. The [one] who desires, let him take [the] water of life freely.

God is not as a man that He should waver, nor as a son of man that He should be threatened; shall He say and not perform? Shall He speak and not keep [His word]?

But You said, I will do you good, and will make your seed as the sand of the sea, which shall not be numbered for multitude.

And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them out of that land, and to bring them into a good and wide land, into a land flowing with milk and honey, into the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and Girgashites and Hivites and Jebusites.

And I will take you to Me as a people unto Myself, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the tyranny of the Egyptians.

And I will bring you into the land concerning which I stretched out My hand to give it to Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, and I will give it you for an inheritance: I am the Lord.

in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time [itself],

in order that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong encouragement, who have fled to take hold of the hope being set before [us];
