For in the day wherein I shall take vengeance of the sins of Israel upon him, I will also take vengeance on the altars of Bethel, and the horns of the altar shall be broken down, and they shall fall upon the ground.

But seek not Bethel, and go not into Gilgal, and cross not over to the Well of the Oath: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall be as that which is not.

they who swear by the propitiation of Samaria, and who say, Your god, O Dan, lives; and, Your god, O Beersheba, lives; and they shall fall, and shall not rise again.

And he went up from there to the Well of the Oath.

And he built an altar there, and called on the name of the Lord, and there he pitched his tent, and there the servants of Isaac dug a well in the valley of Gerar.

And Israel departed, he and all that he had, and came to the Well of the Oath; and he offered sacrifice to the God of his father Isaac.

And I will render your pillars desolate, and will utterly destroy your wooden [images] made with hands; and I will lay your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols, and My soul shall loathe you.

And I will lay your cities waste, and I will make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell the savor of your sacrifices.

In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in Samaria,[and reigned] six months.

And Shallum the son of Jabesh, [and others] conspired against him, and they struck him [in] Keblam and killed him, and he reigned in his place.
