Now the king was sitting in the winter house, and [there was] a fire on the hearth before him.

And Ehud went in to him; and he sat alone in his own upper summer chamber. And Ehud said, I have a message from God for you, O king. And Eglon rose up from his throne near to him.

And the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he built, and all the cities which he built, behold, [are] not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Therefore thus says the Lord God; O Tyre, your land shall be made desolate round about [you]; and he shall bring down your strength out of you, and your countries shall be spoiled.

[ 6:12] For, behold, the Lord commands, and He will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.

For these things have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts; for though many houses should be built, many and fair houses shall be desolate, and there shall be no inhabitants in them.
