They had not sense to understand; let them reserve these things against the time to come.

Now consider these things, all you that forget God, lest He tear [you], and there be none to deliver.

The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master's crib; but Israel does not know Me, and the people have not regarded Me.

For they drink wine with harp, and psaltery, and drums, and pipes; but they regard not the works of the Lord, and consider not the works of His hands.

And one has not considered in his mind, nor known in his understanding, that he has burned up half of it in the fire, and baked loaves on its coals and has roasted and eaten flesh, and of the rest of it he has made an abomination, and they worship it.

They have corrupted themselves according to the days of the hill. He will remember their iniquities, He will take vengeance on their sins.

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor [my sins] of ignorance; remember me according to Your mercy, for Your goodness' sake, O Lord.

Thus says the Lord to this people: They have loved to wander, and they have not spared, therefore God has not prospered them; now will He remember their iniquity.

The Lord swears against the pride of Jacob, None of your works shall ever be forgotten.

For there is nothing covered that shall not be unveiled, and [nothing] secret that shall not be made known.

So then judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who also will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make clear the purposes of the hearts. Then each one's praise shall come from God.

But if you will not do so, you will sin against the Lord; and you shall know your sin, when afflictions shall come upon you.

His bones have been filled with the [vigor of] his youth, and it shall lie down with him in the dust.

though he will not spare it, and will not leave it, but will keep it in the midst of his throat:

[His] wealth unjustly collected shall be vomited up; a messenger of [wrath] shall drag him out of his house.

Let him not see the milk of the pastures, nor the supplies of honey and butter.

For he has broken down the houses of many mighty men, and he has plundered a house, though he built it not.

There is nothing remaining of his provisions, therefore his goods shall not flourish.

If by any means he would fill his belly, let [God] send upon him the fury of wrath; let Him bring a torrent of pains upon him.

And let the arrow pierce through his body; and let the stars be against his dwelling-place: let terrors come upon him.

And let the heavens reveal his iniquities, and the earth rise up against him.

This is the portion of an ungodly man from the Lord, and the possession of his goods [appointed him] by the all-seeing [God].

The Lord is known as executing judgments: the sinner is taken in the works of his hands. Pause.

Iniquities ensnare a man, and everyone is bound in the chains of his own sins.

Lord, in affliction I remembered You; Your chastening was to us with small affliction.

Your apostasy shall correct you, and your wickedness shall reprove you. Know then, and see, that your forsaking Me [has been] bitter to you, says the Lord your God; and I have taken no pleasure in you, says the Lord your God.

Your ways and your devices have brought these things upon you; this is your wickedness, for [it is] bitter, for it has reached to your heart.

For He surveys the works of men, and nothing of what they do has escaped Him.

You have set our transgressions before You; our age is in the light of Your countenance.

For the ways of a man are before the eyes of God, and He looks on all his paths.

For My eyes are upon all their ways; and their iniquities have not been hidden from My eyes.

the Lord of great counsel, and mighty in deeds, the Great Almighty God, and Lord of great name. Your eyes are upon the ways of the children of men, to give to everyone according to his way;

And there is no creature hidden before Him, but all things are naked and open to His eyes, to whom we must give an account.
