1 Kings 17:1
And Elijah the prophet, the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, As the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be these years dew nor rain, except by the word of my mouth.
1 Kings 18:21-40

And Elijah drew near to them all. And Elijah said to them, How long will you halt on both feet? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him. And the people answered not a word.

And Elijah said to the people, I alone am left, the prophet of the Lord; and the prophets of Baal [are] four hundred and fifty men, and the prophets of the groves [are] four hundred.

Let them give us two bulls, and let them choose one for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire [on] the wood: and I will dress the other bull, but put no fire on it.
24
Then you call loudly on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord my God, and it shall come to pass that the God who shall answer by fire, He [is] God. And all the people answered and said, The word which you have spoken [is] good.
25
And Elijah said to the prophets of shame, Choose to yourselves one bull, and dress it first, for you [are] many; and call on the name of your god; but apply no fire.

And they took the bull and dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning till noon, and said, hear us, O Baal, hear us. And there was no voice, neither was there hearing, and they ran up and down on the alter which they had made.
27
And it was noon, and Elijah the Tishbite mocked them, and said, Call with a loud voice, for he is a god; for he is meditating, or else perhaps he is engaged in business, or perhaps he is asleep, and needs to be awakened.
28
And they cried with a loud voice, and cut themselves according to their custom with knives and lancets until the blood gushed out upon them.
29
And they prophesied until the evening came. And it came to pass as it was the time of the offering of the sacrifice, that Elijah the Tishbite spoke to the prophets of the abominations, saying, Stand by for the present, and I will offer my sacrifice. And they stood aside and departed.
30
And Elijah said to the people, Come near to me. And all the people came near to him.
31
And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of Israel, as the Lord spoke to him, saying, Israel shall be your name.
32
And he built up the stones in the name of the Lord, and repaired the altar that had been broken down; and he made a trench that would hold two measures of seed round about the altar.
33
And he piled the cleft wood on the altar which he [had] made, and divided the whole burnt offering, and laid [it] on the wood, and laid [it] in order on the altar, and said, Fetch me four pitchers of water, and pour [it] on the whole burnt offering, and on the wood. And they did so.

And he said, Do it a second time. And they did it a second time. And he said, Do it a third time. And they did it a third time.
35
And the water ran round about the altar, and they filled the trench with water.
36
And Elijah cried aloud to the heavens, and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, answer me, O Lord, answer me this day by fire, and let all this people know that You are the Lord, the God of Israel, and I [am] Your servant, and for Your sake I have done these works.
37
Hear me, O Lord, hear me, and let this people know that You are the Lord God, and [that] You have turned back the heart of this people.
38
Then fire fell from the Lord out of heaven, and devoured the whole burnt offerings, and the wood and the water that was in the trench, and the fire licked up the stones and the earth.
39
And all the people fell upon their faces, and said, Truly the Lord [is] God! He [is] God!
40
And Elijah said to the people, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon, and he executed them there.

And now I will tell you what I will do to My vineyard; I will take away its hedge, and it shall be for a spoil; and I will pull down its walls, and it shall be [left] to be trodden down.

And I will forsake My vineyard; and it shall not be pruned, nor dug, and thorns shall come up upon it as on barren land; and I will command the clouds to rain no rain upon it.

For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah [His] beloved plant; I expected [it] to bring forth judgment, and it brought forth iniquity; and not righteousness, but a cry.
Isaiah 20:2-5

then the Lord spoke to Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and take the sackcloth off your loins, and loose your sandals from off your feet, and do thus, going naked and barefoot.

And the Lord said, As My servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years, there shall be three years for signs and wonders to the Egyptians and Ethiopians;

for thus shall the king of the Assyrians lead the captivity of Egypt and the Ethiopians, young men and old, naked and barefoot, having the shame of Egypt exposed.

And the Egyptians, being defeated, shall be ashamed of the Ethiopians, in whom they had trusted; for they were their glory.
Jeremiah 13:1-14

Thus says the Lord: Go and procure for yourself a linen sash, and put it around your waist, but do not put it in water.

So I procured the sash according to the word of the Lord, and put it around my waist.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Take the sash that is around your waist, and get up, and go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
5
So I went, and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me.
6
And it came to pass after many days, that the Lord said to me, Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the sash from there, which I commanded you to hide there.
7
So I went to the river Euphrates, and dug, and took the sash out of the place where I had buried it. And behold, it was ruined, utterly good for nothing.
8
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Thus says the Lord,

Thus will I ruin the pride of Judah, and the pride of Jerusalem;
10
[even] this great pride [of the men] that will not listen to My words, and have gone after strange gods, to serve them, and to worship them. And they shall be as this sash, which is profitable for nothing.
11
For as a sash clings about the waist of a man, so have I caused the house of Israel, and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me; that they might be to Me a famous people, and a praise, and a glory. But they did not hearken to Me.
12
And you shall say to this people, Every bottle shall be filled with wine. And it shall come to pass, if they shall say to you, Shall we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine? That you shall say to them,

Thus says the Lord: Behold, I [will] fill the inhabitants of this land, and their kings, the sons of David that sit upon their throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and Judah and all the dwellers in Jerusalem, with strong drink.
14
And I will scatter them, a man and his brother, and their fathers and their sons together. I will not have compassion, says the Lord, and I will not spare, neither will I pity [to save them] from destruction.
Jeremiah 19:1
Then the Lord said to me, Go and get an earthen bottle, the work of the potter, and you shall bring [some] of the elders of the people, and of the priests.

For I have appointed you their iniquities for a number of days, for a hundred and ninety days: so you shall bear the iniquities of the house of Israel.
Ezekiel 15:1-8

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

And you, son of man- of all the wood, of the branches that are among the trees of the forest, what shall be made of the wood of the vine?
3
Will they take wood from it to make [it fit] for work? Will they take a peg from it to hang any vessel upon it?
4
It is only given to the fire to be consumed; the fire consumes that which is yearly ruined of it, and it is utterly gone. Will it be useful for [any] work?
5
Not even while it is yet whole will it be [useful] for [any] work; if the fire shall have utterly consumed it, will it still be [fit] for work?
6
Therefore say, Thus says the Lord: As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given up to the fire to be consumed, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
7
And I will set My face against them; they shall go forth of the fire, and [yet] fire shall devour them; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have set My face against them.
8
And I will give up the land to ruin, because they have utterly transgressed, says the Lord.
Ezekiel 20:49
