And they went up and surveyed the land from the Wilderness of Zin to Rehob, as men go in to Hamath.

And you shall measure to yourselves the mountain from Mount [Hor] at the entering in to Hamath, and the termination of it shall be the coasts of Zedad.

So Solomon kept the feast in that day, and all Israel with him, even a great assembly from the entering in of Hamath to the river of Egypt, before the Lord our God in the house which he built, eating and drinking, and rejoicing before the Lord our God for seven days.

[ 6:15] For behold, O house of Israel, I will raise up against you a nation, says the Lord of hosts, and they shall afflict you so that you shall not enter into Hamath, and as it were to the valley of the Arabah.

And in Hamath, even in her coasts, are Tyre and Sidon, because they were very wise.

And King David took from Metebac, and from the choice cities of Hadadezer, very much brass; with that Solomon made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the lavers, and all the furniture.

And he came upon them by night, he and his servants, and he struck them, and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is north of Damascus.

And the Syrians came from Damascus to help Hadadezer king of Zobah; and David killed of the Syrian [army] twenty-two thousand men.

and requested from him letters [of authority] to the synagogues of Damascus, that if he should find any who were of the Way, both men or women, he might bring them, having been bound, to Jerusalem.
